Shred & Stoke Coaching was born from a simple observation: women learning to surf often feel sidelined in male-dominated lineups. Founded by Finnish entrepreneur Hannamari Sarkkinen, the camp found its home on Portugal's Lisbon Coast, where warm water, consistent swell, and a welcoming local surf scene create the perfect classroom. The Finnish ethos of sisu, the quiet determination to push through difficulty, runs through every session.

Camps run in week-long intensive formats with small groups capped at eight participants, ensuring personal coaching at every stage. Mornings are spent in the water. Afternoons cover surf theory, ocean safety, and recovery practices.
"We don't just teach surf technique. We teach women to trust themselves in uncomfortable environments, and that changes everything."

Shred & Stoke welcomes women of all skill levels, from complete beginners to intermediate surfers looking to progress. Participants travel from across Finland, the Nordics, and wider Europe. The camp offers a rare intersection of physical challenge, nature immersion, and international connection, delivered with the understated warmth that Finnish hospitality is known for.
